NightSafe AU – Privacy & union information pack
What it is: a roster compliance and wellbeing support tool – not a fitness-for-work or clinical decision system.
What managers see: named roster-rule warnings only (e.g. "4th consecutive night", "rest period 8 h"), based solely on shift start and finish times. Ward summaries show counts and percentages only.
What managers never see: any sleepiness (KSS) score, hours slept, or "fit for shift" answer. These are stored so that only the person who entered them can read them. There are no individual health or fatigue scores.
Check-ins are optional. Skipping has no penalty, and the system works fully without them.
Rule thresholds can only be changed within set limits, and every change is logged.
Questions: talk to your manager, union delegate, or contact NightSafe AU support.
